Academic healthcare professions – Applying for recognition of further training
Have you successfully completed a further training programme? If so, you are usually entitled to use a further training title, such as a specialist title. Before you are allowed to use such a title, you must have it recognised by the relevant Chamber of Health Professions.
Responsible authority
- for doctors: the Baden-Württemberg State Medical Association
- for dentists: the Baden-Württemberg State Dental Association
- For pharmacists: the Baden-Württemberg State Chamber of Pharmacists
- For psychological psychotherapists, child and adolescent psychotherapists, and psychotherapists: the Baden-Württemberg State Chamber of Psychotherapists
Please note: The decisive factor is which professional body you belong to at the time of application. You must also submit your application to your relevant professional body in Baden-Württemberg if you have completed the majority of your further training in another federal state or in other federal states.

Procedure
You must apply for recognition in writing. You can obtain the necessary form from the relevant Chamber of Health Professions. Depending on the service provided, you may also be able to download it from the internet.
